Let's not continue to carry on with those that do not value us.  Start today.  This is not a "resolution" but be resolute in the decision to let go.  Time can be tricky, it can fool you into believing all manner of things.
In any relationship, allowing someone to leave that does not value you or did not honor the relationship faithfully, to me, is a sign of maturity.
It shows that you no longer need the definition of that relationship.
You can now function without the dilution of stability that the union seemingly secured. Being able to move on and grow from such a situation is commendable and freeing.
Be wise and keep your eyes open to the possibility that it just may be time to let go of the drama to gain the peace that has been waiting for you on the other side.
